About Graciella
French born, Polish raised pianist Graciella Kowalczyk has appeared in concerts and recitals as a soloist in over fifteen countries and four continents, including the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Poland; Sergei Rachmaninov Concert Hall in Moscow, Russia; Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria; Bellini Conservatory in Palermo, Italy; Kolner Philharmonic in Koln, Germany; Ed Landreth Auditorium in Fort Worth, TX; Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel in Parkville, MO; Bragg Auditorium in Kansas City, MO; Medellin Philharmonic, Medellin, Colombia.
In the recent years, Graciella has received various awards including:
- First Prize in the Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City Concerto Competition, 2007
- First Prize in the Jefferson City Symphony Concerto Competition, 2007
- Grand Prize in the Naftzger International Young Artist Competition, Wichita, 2005
- First Prize in the International Seiler Piano Competition, Italy, 2001
- First Prize in the International Young Artist Competition, Germany, 1998 (the prize included scholarship to study at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow)
- First Prize in the All-Poland Piano Competition, when she received an award from the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art
